About the Author

I'm Ashleigh Smith, a native to Northern Utah. I first gained a love of gardening with my grandmother as I helped her each summer.

Thank you very much for your timely article!
    I’m in zone 7, 74454, Porter Oklahoma

We have 10 acres just brush hugged, ready for a multi-mix cover for our soil.

Please direct me to a product I can purchase that will cover 10 acres, full sun with intermittent rains.

    Thanks again,

I don’t necessarily have the knowledge that Andrew Jacobson may have, but I concur with his conclusion; man has so little control and these things and they have likely been in a state of flux throughout the past. Although I also have a concern about our environment and the health of people, animals, plants, and the planet, and desire to act responsibly, just seeing Environmental Justice as the degree the author obtained leads me to believe that she may have received very one-sided education on the subject. Climate Alarmism is very cult-like. Even so, thank you for the information on cover crops.

Planting a cover crop is very beneficial for the soil, weed management etc. But from everything I have learned, climate change is a natural cycle that happens from factors beyond mans control. For instance the earth’s magnetic field is in a process of weakening allowing more solar and cosmic radiation to penetrate through the atmosphere. The sun is more intense than it was when I was a young man thirty or forty years ago. Don’t get sucked into the hype that man is causing global warming and climate change. The climate has always been in a process of changing and always will be, and man currently does not possess the power to mitigate that.
