Growing Festina Festuca Garden Seeds

Festina festuca grass seeds are a sun-hardy grow and most commonly sown directly outside just after the frost. For earliest blooming, begin indoors 4-6 weeks prior and seeds should germinate in 14-21 days with full lighting. Festuca grass is perfect for planters and is just as popularly grown indoors as it is outdoors. Plant 3-4 Festina festuca grass seeds ¼" deep in average, medium dry, and well-drained soil in full sun. Festina festuca grass seeds thrive in dry and poor soils, and will perform poorly in saturated and poorly drained soils. Festuca grass is native to dry climates and may decline in humidity. Plants are best trimmed back in spring and summer to control size and promote new growth. Festuca glauca is not susceptible to any pests or diseases. The genus Festuca is derived from the Latin word meaning "grass stalk" or "straw." The specific name blanca is also derived from the Latin word glaucus meaning "pale blue-grey."
