I don’t even eat tomatoes but I love growing them! There are so many different types and they are just so beautiful and exciting to see them grow. I find that my tomatoes do better for me in a raised bed. My favorite types to grow are Big Boy and Early Girl. I also grow indeterminate plants that allow me to harvest them throughout the season. My family eats them with dinner and I use them to cook. Usually I have such a big harvest that it allows me to share with others.
As a first time home gardener that’s completely tomato crazy this year, this is SO extremely helpful! I had no idea that determinant and indeterminate species was even a thing. I’m so excited to learn more as I go!
I’m growing tomatoes in a hanging basket, a greenstalk, a greenhouse and in my community garden plot. I look forward to them all year as they taste so much better than the ones in the shops!
