Growing Organic Bicolor Shiso in the Garden

Start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost or direct sow them when soil is warm. Sow about 0.25 inch deep and later thin or transplant to 12-inch spacing.

Keep soil moist and weed-free. Plants do well in containers or garden plots. Because their blooms attract pollinators and their aromas can repel pests, they make excellent companion plants for tomatoes and other herbs.
