Pumpkin Seeds - Baby Boo
95 days. Cucurbita pepo. Baby Boo Pumpkin Vegetable Seeds. Non-GMO, annual, open-pollinated, mini pumpkin squash seeds. This crop is suitable for growing in garden plots, containers, and fields. Baby Boo is a charming miniature pumpkin, pure white and about the size of a tennis ball, perfect for autumn tablescapes, porch displays, and craft projects. Long, productive ten-foot vines yield an abundance of small 2- to 3-inch fruit with a firm, edible white to pale orange flesh. For the brightest white color, harvest before the fruit fully ripens, since Baby Boo gradually fades to a pale yellow at full maturity. A good decorative pumpkin to market alongside mini orange strains, and it stores exceptionally well when allowed to cure fully. ~400 seeds/oz.

Growing Baby Boo Pumpkin in the Vegetable Garden
Direct sow Baby Boo seeds 0.25 to 0.5 inch deep after all danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed to at least 70 F. For a head start, start seeds indoors 3 to 4 weeks early. Space plants 24 to 36 inches apart, with rows 6 to 8 feet apart to give the trailing vines plenty of room to ramble, or train vines up a fence or trellis to save garden space.
Keep soil consistently moist, especially during flowering and fruit set, and water at the base of the plant rather than overhead to help prevent powdery mildew. Each plant is highly productive and can yield ten or more miniature pumpkins over the season.
Harvesting Baby Boo Pumpkin
For the brightest white color, harvest fruit a little before full maturity, since the rind gradually fades to pale yellow as it fully ripens. Cut fruit from the vine with a few inches of stem attached to help extend its display life. Baby Boo stores exceptionally well once cured, making it a reliable choice for weeks of fall decorating.
About Baby Boo Pumpkin Garden Seeds
Baby Boo was developed by John Jaunsem of West Milton, Pennsylvania, and released to the market in 1990.
It was bred specifically for its miniature size and pure white color, offering a striking alternative to traditional orange pumpkins for fall displays.
Beyond decoration, Baby Boo's firm white flesh is genuinely edible, with a sweet, nutty flavor and a texture reminiscent of chestnut once cooked, making it a fun option for roasting, stuffing, or pureeing after its time on the porch.
Tips From Our Gardeners
These little pumpkins make a great kids' project. Since the skin is such a clean white canvas, ours are always a hit for painting faces or fall designs, no carving tools required.
