Non-GMO Treated Howden pumpkins are the most typical pumpkin for a jack-o-lantern. This pumpkin is ready in 115 days with symmetrical and round fruit. Its thick, hard, orange shell makes it perfect for carving. Howden pumpkins are known for their 15 to 25 pound uniform shape. This pumpkin was bred to be carved but can still be eaten. Many people love to roast the seeds of this pumpkin.
Plant pumpkin seeds about 1 inch below the soil when temperatures are above 65°. Howden Pumpkins need a lot of space, so give about 3-4 feet of space. In about 115 days, the pumpkin will be ready to harvest. There will be 4-6 large pumpkins on about 10ft of vines. Pumpkins will be about 15-20 lbs in size.
