Organic Royal Burgundy Bush Bean

Bred by E.M. Meader at the University of New Hampshire and introduced in 1957. Will emerge in cooler soil than many other beans. (beans hate cold soil). Royalty purple Pod is a bush type, but has short runners and purple flowers. A sure seller at farmer's markets for its eye appealing color. The bright purple pods are 5-6" long and turn green when cooked.

The variety is resistant to Bean Common Mosaic Virus (BV1, NY15) and is avoided by Mexican bean beetles. Recommended by the Following State Universities or Ag Extension Offices as a variety that performs well for their region. KS,
