(70-100 days) This is a must have for all sweet pepper loves out there. Stunning deep orange colored pepper, remains orange even a maturity. Produces a 7-10 inches long thin tapered fruits which is highly productive and vigorous. The plant is about 24-36 inches in height and need a plant spacing of about 18-24 inches. These peppers are very sweet crisp and extremely tasty. Can be enjoyed fresh or fried. The peppers contain very few seeds, making them easy to use.
This golden pepper is a really beauty to add color and great flavor to any meal that call for sweet bell peppers. They made a wonderful addition to salads, stir fries, stuffed peppers or eaten whole as a crunchy snack. We trialed this variety here on the farm in 2013, and it was by a big hit with the employees. It was highly productive even with our cool nights here in Northern California and was one of the last peppers to get damaged by the frost.
Gatherers gold produced so many tasty peppers that we were able to save many of them to enjoy throughout the winter months. Simply cut them into 4 pieces and place on trays in the freezer for a few hours. Once frozen package up into freezer bags and store in freezer (this method allows you to easily separate the pieces of peppers for later use).
