Minute Soil Plus - Max Water Retention Mix

Water less often and keep plants hydrated longer. Use in planters, pots, hanging baskets or anywhere you would use potting soil. Not recommended for plants that need to dry out between waterings, like succulents. Use in areas prone to drought conditions for more vibrant and plump plants through the heat of summer. Each Minute Soil Plus Maximum Water Retention Kit Includes:

• 🌱 Minute Soil+ - Amended, compressed coconut coir. Thick disks of grow medium infused with NPK fertilizer, Azomite trace mineral fertilizer, and worm castings. Just add water to expand into an amazing, sustainable, renewable, peat-free grow medium with naturally high water-holding capacity.
• 🌱 Perlite - Mix perlite into the expanded Minute Soil for additional aeration and cold insulation for root systems.
• 🌱 Retain - Retain plant crystals are a safe and easy-to-use soil additive made out of water-absorbing ingredients (cross-linked polyacrylate, bentonite clay, lava rock, and silicates) that absorb up to 40x its own weight in water. Retain increases the water-holding capacity of soil by up to 60%, helping to prevent waterlogging by releasing the water to plants as needed. Evaporation is minimized, especially in hanging baskets prone to drying out.

Mixing Instructions:

1. Rehydrate the Retain: Pour your bag of Retain in a separate container completely submerged in water. Soak for 45-60 minutes.

2. Rehydrate the Minute Soil+: Add pucks to a bucket, wheelbarrow, tote or other mixing containers. Add water according to your size.

5 Gallon Kit = 2.25 gallons water (36 cups)

10 Gallon = 3.75 gallons water (60 cups)

Allow the soil to soak up the water. Check that the soil is entirely moist by mixing with your hand, a small trowel, or shovel. Go through the fresh medium with your hands to make sure there are no hard unexpanded chunks of coco coir. If you find any, just add a little more water over those dry pieces.

3. Combine: Mix Perlite, presoaked Retain, and expanded Minute Soil+ together.
