These cantaloupe seeds do well when they are sown indoors and transplanted a few weeks later, or transplanted outside directly. This important thing is that they are always in a warm environment, as melons are a summer grower, and need warm soil and sun to thrive. The best type of soil for this variety is rich and sandy soil, best with a pH between 7 and 7.8. These vines will grow smaller melons and flowers along with larger melons. Throughout growth, thin out the vine removing the smaller melons and flowers to direct the plant's energy towards producing large and delicious melons. Water these plants often to keep the soil consistently moist, around 1-2 inches of water each week is sufficient. Be sure not to wet the plant itself, rather water the plant low near the roots so that it doesn't accumulate disease. When the melons are ready for harvest around 75 days after being planted, they will be easily pulled off of the fine and slightly golden, even on their outside. They will keep for a few weeks after harvest.
