Sorghum Seeds - Martin Milo

The seeding rate is 9-20 lbs per acre, with 16 lbs per acre optimal. In drought-affected areas, the seeding rate is 5-6 lbs.

Sorghum is a traditional crop in the South and can be used as a summer cover crop. It is drought-tolerant and can be used on its own or in a cover-crop mix. Sorghums are quick-growing grasses that can suppress weeds and penetrate compacted soils thanks to their extensive root systems.

One of the first double dwarf combine harvested types at 3-4'. Seeds are reddish-brown. Seed heads are threshed easily. Stalks are slender and seldom tiller. Martin Milo Sorghum has excellent drought tolerance.
