Delikatesse cucumber plants have abundant yields. Fruits are a pale lime-green color with small warts all over. They grow to be around 6-10‚ long, but can be picked prematurely to make small pickles. ~ 950 seeds per ounce.
Plant seeds ½‚ deep indoors or outdoors. For indoor sowing, transplant seedlings after 3-4 weeks after the final frost of the season. For direct sowing, plant seeds in direct sun in the spring. Harvest fruits after 60 days when they have reached their full size, or prematurely to have smaller cucumbers. Large cucumbers are great for slicing, while small ones are most ideal for pickling. They have a delicious, fresh, non-bitter taste, especially when harvested at full maturity.
