Growing Non-GMO Colour Carpet China Aster Flower Seeds
Plant seeds outdoors directly into the prepared garden soil. Do not plant outside until after the danger of frost has passed. Water in the seeds with a mister. Optionally, begin the seeds indoors about 6-8 weeks before your last frost date. When the seedlings have two sets of true leaves, harden them off and then plant them outdoors 6-8 inches apart. For constant blooms all summer, deadhead frequently and plant batches of seeds successionally every two weeks.
Blooming can be expected in the first growing season, about 6-8 weeks after germination. Plant in a bright, sunny location with average richness in the soil. Colour Carpet is a showy variety and is just as popularly enjoyed indoors as it is out. If planting outside, be sure to plant on the garden’s south side to avoid overshadowing them. Protect the plants from any sign of frost. Colour Carpet China Asters have relatively shallow root systems and should not be permitted to dry out. Place a mulch layer at the plant's base to prevent evaporation and protect the roots. We recommend planting in a location with plenty of good circulation to prevent disease.
