Cherry tomatoes are the smallest class of tomatoes ranging from marble up to just under golf ball size. Salad tomatoes range from golf ball to tennis ball in size. Slicing tomatoes all the tomatoes larger than a tennis ball. Paste tomatoes are typically have an oblong shape and are lower in water content making them ideal for cooking, canning and making into sauces and paste. They can also be enjoyed in salads.
