About plants to direct sow ; wildflowers. One such wildflower is milkweed . They like the cold stratifaction and can be seeded outside in cool temps. The earlier that it’s seeded, the earlier it will sprout into a usable plant food for Monarchs. I’ll be tossing these into my perennial beds along with gaillardia, my state’s wildflower.
