    Cover Crop | Lawn Mix

Festuca rubra, Festuca trachyphylla, Trifolium repens, Festuca ovina
Are any of the above considered toxic to chickens?

Hi Lara, there are several statements in this article that I find confusing. What do you mean when you say a crop is highly productive? Is that a measure of biomass per seed quantity or some other measure? Similarly, what do you mean by “a high return on nutrition“? There is another confusing line in the section on Orchardgrass, stating that it “ pairs well with how much it is eaten”. I suspect there is a typo in there, but who knows. Can you please clarify, or is this article just meant as a quickly written ad for True Leaf’s products, and not really meant as a source of information for customers?

I am new poultry farmer in Tanzania. My great interest is on growing forage and grasses that chicken eat. I have the land and recently started keeping chicken. I very much enjoyed the article you presented, and look forward to sharing more information in the future. Thanks!
