I'm Ashleigh Smith, a native to Northern Utah. I first gained a love of gardening with my grandmother as I helped her each summer.

I have also loved to garden. To me it’s so peaceful.

Great article! I am 82 and still an avid gardener! The kneeling and bending are not as easy as they were years ago (solved with a nice kneeler that flips over to become a bench and has two strong handles to help me up!!!LOL) — I agree that gardening is one of the tools to keep us young. Plus, I am a frugal cook and love having the pantry and freezer full of healthy foods to work with! Happy to have found this site!
