I have to say that I do like the large seeds myself. I have been growing microgreens now for 8 years and over that time I have grown many different types of sunflowers. My best grows are using the True Leaf “Black Oil Organic” Sunflower seeds and I still have issues with seeds holding on to the leaves. For better seed release I have gone down to only using about 100g of seeds per 10×20 tray. In sunflowers case, more seeds will not produce more harvest as they don’t have enough room to spread out. With 100g of seeds per 10×20 tray, I’m getting estimated 600g plus per harvest per tray on a 10-11 day grow cycle (3 day germination, 7 day lights). This method you don’t get as many seeds holding on to the leaves. It is also a whole lot easier to harvest which I much appreciate. I hope this helps.

Wierd, as in my experience, the SMALL seeded shells came off effortlessly. I would buy the small seeded from trueleaf if they sold them again.

So this is what is happening. The small seeds suck as the shells do not come off like the large seeds do. I notice a huge difference and am not happy about this at all. I will look else where for this seeds moving forward.
