Growing Directions:

The Amy Hybrid Melon is a Canary variety that grows quickly and beautifully in the summer. It is important for these plants to have adequate room, water, and sun light to reach their full growth potential. Sow seeds in an area with full sun after the final threat of frost has passed. Make small hills for each seed, with each hill 3 feet apart and rows 6 feet apart. Water the seedling thoroughly, but make sure that the soil is also well drained so that they don't get overwatered. Around 1 to 2 inches of water each week should be sufficient. The vines need to be pollinated by bees for the melons to produce, so avoid spraying insecticides if possible. When the melons are a bright yellow shade and are pulling away from the vine at the stem, they are ready for harvest. This will happen in about 80-90 days.
