Growing Non-GMO Organic Shishito Sweet Pepper Vegetable Seeds
Begin seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the expected transplant date. Do not transplant until at least a week after your last spring frost. Keep the soil warm (about 80F) until germination. Seeds will be weak, rot, or fail to germinate altogether in cold soil. Harden off the seedlings carefully before transplanting them outdoors. Plant them outdoors in late spring/summer when soil temperatures are 60F or higher in a warm and sunny location.
When growing in a cooler climate, cover the soil with black or red plastic to retain soil heat. Never allow the soil to dry out completely. Applying a balanced fertilizer 2-3 times during the growing season promotes better fruit development; avoid fertilizers with very high nitrogen as they will produce lush foliage and few fruits. Remove weeds quickly, especially in the early days; younger plants are in peril of being choked out.

About Organic Shishito Sweet Pepper Garden Seeds
Shishito peppers are most traditionally eaten grilled or charred. They make a delicious side dish or can be added into many main courses as well.
While most shishito peppers are completely free of spiciness, about 10% of peppers may develop some heat. They are typically eaten green as the longer they ripen, the more likely they are to become spicy.

Tips From Our Gardeners
"One of my hobbies is watching food bloggers and recreating their recipes. One of my favorite blogs to keep up with is June from Delish. She was the first one to introduce me to shishito peppers! I had never seen them eaten before. Now, I’m so glad I know about them! They add a delightful element to my cooking that I wouldn’t have had without trying them."
