Sowing & Growing:

Sow Table Queen Acorn Winter Squash seeds in either late summer or early fall before your region's first frost. As long as the temperature is 60°, you can directly-sow acorn squash in hills. As acorn squash are part of the diverse Cucurbitaeae family, winter squash like Table Queen types develop hard shells that are ideal for storing over winter.

Harvesting:

Harvest non-GMO acorn winter squash 80-85 days from the sowing date or once the solid rinds turn into their rich color. Detach Table Queen Acorn Winter Squash plants from their vine with a knife or gardening shears. Squash crops tend to grow best while they're still attached to the vine. If you're faced with difficulties before harvesting season, either cut the squash from their vine or use tarp to cover your plants.
