Growing Directions:

Seeds can be sown directly outdoors when the final frost has passed at least 1 week prior and the soil is at least 65°. This is an excellent crop to have a rotating harvest. To do so, sow new seeds every 1 to 2 weeks, and they will mature as so. Allow 18-24" between rows and 3" between plants. Be sure to remove any wet or diseased leaves, as this may travel to the entire plant. After around 60 days, the pods should be ready to be harvested. Harvest them when they are fully elongated, but the inner beans aren't fully developed. Pods should be crisp and firm at this point. They can be individually taken off of the vine just above where the pod ends.

Facts:

These pods are both unique and delicious! They bring an exciting new color to the garden but when they are cooked they are quite similar to other varieties of green beans.
