Growing Non-GMO Pomponette Mixed Bellis flowers Flower Seeds
English daisies should be started early to be the spring blooms we all know. In zones six and above, direct sowing is an option, but starting indoors is recommended. Start the seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the final frost of the spring. Germinate seedlings at 70F (10-25 days). Whether direct sowing or transplanting, water them heavily at planting. Harden off seedlings gradually before transplanting them after the last spring frost outdoors. English daisies do not tolerate drought conditions.
Keep the area weed-free. Fertilization is usually not needed unless the soil site is particularly infertile. Remove spent blooms so the plants look tidy, and are encouraged to rebloom. This will limit their ability to self-seed. If you intend to allow these flowers to freely spread, be sure to leave some blooms to develop and drop seeds. These plants will return yearly for at least two years down to zone 4. They can be used as annuals in zones three and below, or from 8-10. In most cases of complete dieback, they will reseed themselves and return the following year. Bellis generally prefers full sun but does not tolerate high heat very well unless growing in a partial sun location. They are tolerant of light shade.

The Bellis flowers bloom from April to June when sown outdoors and can bloom even earlier when started ahead of time indoors.
English daisies can withstand temperatures in the 40F quite well. They usually die after a hard frost but may return if they have an established root system and are given warm enough weather.
