Growing Oregon Giant (Organic) in the Vegetable Garden

Sow seeds 1 inch deep directly outdoors as soon as the soil can be worked in early spring. Space seeds 3-4 inches apart in rows 12-24 inches apart. Peas prefer cooler temperatures and consistent moisture to thrive.

Keep soil consistently moist and well-drained. Apply mulch to aid moisture retention. Plant with carrots or radishes to help deter pests and promote healthy growth.

I’d read about their broad, crisp pods and imagined them piled high in my kitchen, but I didn’t expect just how quickly they’d steal the show.
