Growing the Flower 6 Pack Container Garden Seed Assortment
Marigold - Start indoors Begin indoors 6-8 weeks prior to final frost or sow direct after frost. Plant 2-3 marigold seeds 0.25 inches deep and 6-12 inches apart in average, evenly moist, and well-drained soil in full sun.
Zinnia - Direct sow seeds 0.25 inches deep 10-12 inches apart in rich, moist, well-drained soil in full sun immediately after the final frost date. Can start indoors 4-5 weeks before frost. Keep watered, well-drained, and deadhead in summer.
Sunflower - Plant 0.5-1 inches deep in well-draining soil once soil temp reaches 65 degrees about 6 inches apart. Keep soil moist until seeds sprout. Once the first true leaves appear, thin plants to 2 feet apart.
Alyssum - Lightly press 2-3 seeds without covering or broadcast directly. Space 6-8 inches. For earliest blooms, begin indoors 6-8 weeks prior to the frost. May reseed in optimal climates.
Nasturtium - Plant 3-4 seeds 0.125 inches deep and 18-24 inches apart in rich, evenly moist, and well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Tolerant to drought and poor soil but will show signs of wilt by mid-summer in extreme heat.
