Growing the Asian Vegetable 6 Pack Container Garden Seed Assortment
Tomato - Warm weather crop that can start indoors or sow directly after frost or begin indoors 6-8 weeks prior to frost. Plant 2-3 seeds .5in. deep per cell or every 10-12in. in fertile, well-drained soil. Full sun. Germinates in 7-21 days.
Chrysanthemum Greens - Sow directly after final frost. Begin indoors 4-6 weeks prior. Lightly press without covering 2-3 seeds per cell 4-6 inches apart in rich, well-drained soil in full sun. Allow soil to dry before watering.
Japanese Eggplant - Sow directly after final spring frost or begin indoors 8-10 weeks prior. Sow 2-3 seeds 0.25 inches deep per cell or 4 inches apart in the garden in sandy, loamy, well-drained soil in full sun. Thin to 1 plant per 18-24 inches.
Pepper - Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sow 2-3 seeds 0.25 inch deep per cell or peat pot in fertile, organic, well-draining soil. In early summer, harden off and transplant 12-18 inches apart or 1 per container.
Chinese Celery - Sow seeds 0.125 inches deep, just lightly covering, about 10 inches apart when the soil temperature reaches 60-70 degrees F. Germination takes 14-21 days. Keep soil moist and transplant when true leaves are established.
Basil - Warm weather crop grown indoors and out. For earliest starts, begin indoors 6-8 weeks prior to final frost. Sow 4-6 seeds 0.25 inch deep per cell or 3-4 inches apart in moderately moist, well-drained soil in full sun.
