Growing Red Rat’s Tail Microgreen Seeds
Radish microgreens grow well on soil or hydroponic growing mediums. Start by hydrating your chosen growing material and placing it in your tray. We recommend nestling a tray with holes inside one without for easy buttom watering. While no initial soak is needed, you may consider rinsing your seeds with a water and hydrogen peroxide mixture to clean any dust off of the seeds. Spread the seeds over the surface of the soil. Gently press in for good contact. Nestle a cover over top for the duration of the germination period (2-4 days). The germinated seeds should begin taking root when you remove the cover.
Once the seeds have germinated, flip the cover over like a dome for 1-2 more days to blackout the microgreens and help their stems elongate. Remove the cover when the stems are at your desired height. They will appear white to yellow at this time. Expose to light for the microgreens to take on their color. The leaves will be green with a mix of white to reddish-purple stems.
