Angelica herb seed is a hardy biennial or short-lived perennial, usually flowering the second or third year. A large plant of the carrot family, the plant itself grows to about 3 feet, but the flower stalk can exceed 6 feet in height. Flowers are large, round globes of small, yellow to greenish flowers. While the majestic architectural flower heads are striking, the tiny flowers are not particularly showy, but that is not the point. Not generally bothered by deer. ~9450 seeds/oz.

Growing Angelica in the Flower Border/Herb Garden
Can be sown outdoors in the late fall for germination in the spring. Alternatively, can be started indoors. Seed should be stratified prior to sowing indoors. Place seeds in a just-damp paper towel in a sealed container, and store in the refrigerator for 6-8 weeks. Then sow in flats or pots as normal. Transplant after 2nd true leaf spacing plants 2-3 feet apart in herb garden as plants can get large.
Prefers part shade - tolerates moist conditions.
Harvesting Angelica
Large 3-part compound leaves can be used fresh or dried in cooking and potpourris. Described as woody, herby, musky.
