When the flowerhead is empty, remove the bag and use the seeds for snacks, bird feeders, or next year’s crop!

These colorful flowers can be used for seasonal bouquets of deep, warm colors. When they are in full bloom, snip off the stem one to one and a half feet below the bloom. Tie a few stems together with a rubber band or string and suspend them upside down in a well-ventilated room for dried flowers in 2-3 weeks! Use the results in dry bouquets throughout the winter in place of faux flowers.
