Growing Organic 3-Part Salad Mix Sprout Seeds

Add about 2 tablespoons of organic 3-Part Salad Mix sprout seeds to a container and allow seeds an initial soaking in water for 4-6 hours. After the initial soak, drain and rinse the seeds. Then, add them to your container of choice (tray or jar). In jar method, rinse the seeds 2x per day and immediately drain for 5-7 days. Do not allow the water to sit on the sprouts after the initial soaking. This will keep the sprouts fresh, tender, and hydrated without oversaturating them. Keep them away from direct light. A countertop away from a window would be perfect.

If using the tray method, spread onto thin layer in a sprouting tray. Rinse or add water 2-3 times a day or follow sprouting tray instructions. Harvest in 6-7 days or when the hulls have mostly been shed.

Culinary Tips

Harvesting by day 6-7 will develop a more pronounced radish flavor, whereas harvesting at 4-5 days will leave the radish not nearly as spicy and matured. They pair very well with Mediterranean types of flavors. Eat this mix on its own or add it on top of any salad or sandwich. Even use them as attractive garnishes. Adding them on top of brothy soups can be quite delightful.
