🥗 Growing Leafy Greens and Herbs in the Aquatree Tower
The Aquatree Tower is the perfect home kitchen appliance for producing fresh, homegrown produce year-round. With 5 levels you can efficiently grow 100+ plants for an abundant harvest of nutrient-dense leafy greens and herbs. Each level can produce up to 25 plants using the garden lids fitted with the cones and growfoam. The cones provide stability while the growfoam allows for water uptake, oxygen and nutrient exchange, and healthy root development.
Growfoam is biodegradable and eco-friendly as it is made from natural and sustainable ingredients, such as vegetable-based materials and organic fibers that break down safely and quickly. This is a peat-free growing medium that is certified by the TUV for home and industrial composting.
🌱 Growing Microgreens in the Aquatree Tower
Growing microgreens and wheatgrass in the Aquatree Tower Hydroponic Garden is easier than ever! Seeds like wheat, radish, broccoli, arugula, kale, Swiss chard, beets, sunflowers, and more have proven to perform well in the Aquatree growing system. Either plant directly onto the reusable micro lid insert, or add your prefered growing medium. The hydroponic tower will keep oxygenated water cycling to your developing greens. To harvest, simply remove the tray insert. Using a sharp knife, cut the dangling roots directly under the insert. The microgreens can easily be pulled up out of the microgreen tray with a small portion of the root still attached. Storing them with this little bit of root still attached can keep your micros fresh and ready for use. When growing microgreens, change the water about every 5 days.
🌱 Growing Sprouts in the Aquatree Hydroponic Tower
Sprouts are the perfect indoor garden crop. They are packed full of vital nutrients and ready to harvest within a few days. The Aquatree wouldn’t be a complete indoor garden system without the ability to grow an abundance of healthy sprouts. Whether you enjoy small broccoli and alfalfa sprouts or larger bean salad mixes, this system can do it all. When sprouting, it is best to clean your seeds ahead of time, especially for large seeds prone to being dusty. Cleaning your seeds ahead of time can help maintain a clean and healthy hydroponic growing system. Detailed seed cleaning instructions can be found within the Aquatree Garden User Guide. If sprouting mung bean, or a mix containing mung bean, we recommend doing the initial soak outside of the Aquatree system and adding later. This seed is known to quickly muddle the water during its initial soak phase. When sprouting, the water should be changed at least every 3 days.

Set up took about 15 minutes. The video on youtube helped. First crop was mung beans. Took about 2 days for them to get ready for harvest. I tried one straight out of the tray and it was okay, but I like them better in a salad. Next I grew some broccoli microgreens and started my lettuce. The microgreens took about a week and we used them on some burgers and mixed them in with some mac and cheese. The lettuce is still growing, I have about 1 more week before it should be ready to eat. Gonna try tomato plants when the lettuce is done. 5 stars because it does what it says it does and works how it says it will.

Works like they said it would. Easy to set up. Pro tip - keeping the water level high cuts down on the water noise.

I still like traditional gardening, but it’s not really something I can do in a chicago winter. Happy I can still grow my own food through the winter though. Gonna try starting my pumpkins and other plants in the aqua tree in the spring to take outside when it gets warmer.

We just found out I’m pregnant, so I really want to eat cleaner and healthier to help my baby while it’s growing. Nothing really tastes great to me right now because I’m first trimester, but I’m hoping to find some microgreens I can’t live without. Waiting on my first round to grow, but the set up was how it was shown in the video on youtube.
