While Bonide has not pursued the OMRI certification for commercial organic growing, neem oil is still widely accepted as safe to use in organic home gardens.
Neem oil is known to be toxic to bees if they come in direct, prolonged contact with it. Before use, check the surrounding area for active pollinators, and do not apply if there is a strong wind. Always apply as directed on the label.
Organic gardening-approved pest control methods are few and far between. Especially one as effective as neem oil! You can easily apply it as is.
How to Use Neem Oil Spray
Shake the bottle well. Spray the entire plant surface, including the underside of leaves. The treatment will only be effective with complete coverage. Water at the base of the plant to get rid of excess but avoid water on the leaves. Apply generously every 7 days for heavy infestations or 14 days for maintenance. Repeat throughout the growing season. Check the label for more instructions regarding your desired results.
