Growing Non-GMO Myosotis Compindi Flower Seeds

It is optional to begin seeds indoors, but it may provide even earlier blooms in the summertime. Myosotis Compindi seeds 8-10 weeks before the final frost. Sow seeds on top of the growing medium and lightly cover with rich soil mix. Germination takes 14-21 days; transplant once there are two sets of true leaves, either to a temperate indoor spot or to harden off before transplanting to the garden. Lightly cover 3-4 Forget-Me-Not Compindi seeds in organically rich, evenly moist, and well-drained soil 6" apart in full sun to partial shade. Myosotis Compindi seeds will often struggle in hot or soggy conditions, and will thrive with proper shade during long summer months. Forget-Me-Nots are fairly drought tolerant, but properly ventilate and avoid overhead watering to minimize moisture and wetting foliage.

Myosotis sylvatica is aggressively self-seeding and, although each plant may only live to be a biennial, Forget-Me-Nots may remain in the garden for years to come. Myosotis Compindi seeds are perennials that mature in their second year. Fertilizer is not usually required in fertile soil but can be applied up to weekly on a balanced low-strength dosage. Deadhead the spent flowers periodically to encourage them to rebloom. If you wish them to reseed, allow some of the flower heads to remain and transition to the seed-bearing stage.

Stories From Our Gardeners

"Forget-Me-Nots are especially dear to my heart because when my husband and I were dating, we had to be away from each other for almost 3 years due to various circumstances, and he sent me a drawing of Forget-Me-Nots. They have ever since been a symbol of us! They were the theme of our wedding, and we even gave away seed packets of them to guests."
