Growing Non-GMO Lanceleaf Coreopsis Flower Seeds
Coreopsis are easier to grow from seed. The only trick is stratification. All this means is that the seed coating is thicker than other seeds and needs to undergo some kind of process to signal germination. Common tactics are placing them in the fridge or freezer, or simply planting the seeds outside in the fall to get naturally treated over the winter. It is easiest to purchase the seeds in the summer and plant them out in the fall for blooms next summer or the following.
However, if you are just getting your seeds in the springtime, there is still hope! Place them on a wet paper towel in a sealed container in the fridge for two weeks before planting as normal. After that, it is a similar seed and seedling care for almost any other plant! Option for continuing the seedlings inside under a grow light before planting outdoors; this can provide you with blooms even earlier in the year.
Blooming is usually not expected until the second growing season. Plant in a sunny location with average richness in the soil. They even grow freely in rocky and disturbed areas. If you wish to inhibit spreading, remove the flower stalks after flowering to limit seed production. Lanceleaf Coreopsis has low to moderate water requirements and does best with division every 2-3 years.

About Lanceleaf Coreopsis Garden Seeds
These charming Coreopsis plants can also be used as cut flowers for endearing cottagecore arrangements. They add height, light, and texture to any bouquet or centerpiece. Expect 2.5 inch wide flowers reaching up to two feet above the ground that cheerfully smile upwards in a slightly cupped shape.
Coreopsis is in the same family as sunflowers and asters. The family Asteraceae is known for showy blooms!
