Growing Organic Red Daikon Radish Sprout Seeds
Add about 2 tablespoons of organic Red Daikon radish sprout seeds to a bowl and allow seeds to soak in water for 6-8 hours (overnight). Radish seeds expand a lot, and it is important not to use more than the recommended amount per batch to avoid overcrowding.
Anyone who’s grown radish in the garden knows it’s always the first to germinate and usually the first to harvest. Sprouting radish is just as vigorous and can even begin to sprout during the 6-8 hour presoak. After the initial soak, drain and rinse the seeds. Then, add them to your container of choice (tray, bag, or jar). Rinse the seeds 2-3x per day and immediately drain. Do not allow the water to sit on the sprouts after the overnight soaking or any subsequent rinse. Rinse the seeds 2-3x per day for 5-6 days. This will keep the sprouts fresh, tender, and hydrated without becoming mushy. At around 4-5 days or at 3-inch long, uncover and provide light for 12-24 hrs prior to harvesting.
