Growing Concord Grape Roots
Plant roots in the spring when the soil is workable. Select a full sun, well-draining location with a sturdy support. We recommend amending your soil with organic matter like compost, worm castings, or coco coir to lighten clay-heavy soil. Space vines 6-8 feet apart with rows 8-10 feet apart. Set roots so crowns are level with the soil surface. Water deeply after planting and mulch to conserve moisture.
