Growing Non-GMO Dream Series Petunia Flower Seeds
Petunia seeds are extremely small. Nevertheless, they are simple to germinate and grow, the trickiest part is planting! Luckily this variety is pelleted which makes planting easier. For earliest blooming, begin Dream Series petunia seeds indoors about 10-12 weeks prior to the final frost date and transplant once there are at least two sets of true leaves. Dream Series seeds should germinate within 14 days with full lighting. If transplanting outdoors, harden off the seedlings to a partly sunny spot in the garden, or an equally intermediate location inside. Hardening off involves gradually acclimatizing the seedlings to their new environment over a 2-4 week period. They will not likely survive the transition without this process.
Plants are adaptable to being repotted multiple times throughout the season if necessary. Avoid overhead water to reduce wetting foliage. Petunias bloom the most with regular fertilizations or compost applications. If using conventional fertilizer, apply a time-release granular when transplanting and then supplement throughout the season every 1-2 months with a low-strength feed. Follow all instructions on the manufacturer’s packaging for conventional fertilizer. Or, mix well-composted manure or other organic fertilizer into the soil at the time of planting or transplanting, and at similar intervals apply a fresh handful at the base of the plants, then water it in thoroughly. Deadhead blooms regularly to promote prolific flowering.

About Dream Series Petunia Garden Seeds
If you are concerned about achieving success growing these from seed, try providing a reliable light source such as a grow-lamp close above and a heat source underneath the seedlings. Deceivingly low light and cool temperatures that most indoor window sills provide are the most common causes of seedling failure.
Dream Series Petunia is appealing to pollinators of many species. Petunias have been winning awards for decades for their reliable and colorful blooms.
When pruning, use clean, sharp scissors and work early in the morning to avoid disease.
Second only to impatiens in annual bedding plant demand, the petunia has been a popular plant for decades thanks to its easy cultivation, fantastic colors, and repeated flowering from spring to frost.
