Growing Non-GMO Prism Sunshine Petunia Flower Seeds
Petunia seeds are very small. However, they are simple to germinate and grow, the trickiest part is planting! For earliest blooming, begin Prism Sunshine petunia seeds indoors about 3 months before the final frost date and transplant once there are at least two sets of true leaves. Prism Sunshine seeds should germinate within 14 days when exposed to light. If transplanting outdoors, harden off the seedlings to a partly sunny spot in the garden or an equally adequate location inside. Hardening off is gradually acclimatizing the seedlings to a new environment over a few weeks. Petunias can easily survive the root shock of transplantation, but not quick climate changes.
Plants are able to be replanted or moved multiple times in their lives if desired. Avoid overhead water to minimize wetting foliage and reduce the likelihood of diseases. Petunias bloom the most with highly fertile soil. If using conventional fertilizer, apply a time-release granular at the time of transplanting and then supplement throughout the season every 1-2 months with a low-intensity feed. Or, mix well-composted manure or other organic fertilizer into the soil at the time of planting or transplanting, and every 6-8 weeks throughout the blooming season apply a fresh handful at the base of the plants. Then, water it in thoroughly. Frequent fertilization may not be necessary for sufficiently healthy and fertile soils. Deadhead blooms regularly to promote serial flowering.

About Prism Sunshine Petunia Garden Seeds
If you are nervous about finding success with these seeds, try providing a reliable light source such as a lamp or grow light close above the seedlings and an adjustable heat source beneath the seedlings. The low light and cool temperatures that most indoor window sills supply are the most common culprits for seedling failure.
Prism Sunshine Petunia is attractive to pollinators of many kinds.
When pruning, use clean, sharp scissors and work early in the day to prevent diseases.
Being superseded only by impatiens in annual bedding sales, the petunia has been a popular plant for generations thanks to its ease of cultivation, unbelievable colors, and repeat flowering from spring to frost.
The name is derived from an old Guarani word which is translated to "tobacco" since the two plants are from the same family of plants- the nightshade family.
