Most of the time Sunflowers are considered annuals. They are usually very tall and the stem is hairy. The large heads (relative to the overall size of the plant) follows the sun as it crawls across the sky. There exist many varieties of sunflower including the one that produces seeds that can be raosted and/or salted.
